My Crazy Week!

So, Kyle turned 1 on Aug. 25th! Wow, I cannot believe it's been 1 yr already. It just goes so so fast. I returned to work on the 27th! It was not as hard to get back into the swing of things as I thought but it was hard leaving my little man. Gosh, I miss him so much during the day. He's been so so with Mommy going back to work. Of course, he misses me like crazy and is so clingy in the evenings but at least he's been able to adjust somewhat with Daddy being home all this week and next week. He won't be going to the babysitter for another week and then that will be hopefully half days for the first little bit until he gets used to it.

My parents came up from newfoundland last Saturday for the week and were here to celebrate Kyle's 1st b-day party, which was alot of fun but the weather was quite cool. We weren't able to sit out on the patio and enjoy all the decorations but the food was good and he received some nice gifts. All in all, it was a pleasant time. My oldest son, Dylan turned 16 on Monday (the 31st). Not sure how that happened, so, we also celebrated his b-day as well and he ended up with a nice bit of cash to of course, burn a hole in his pocket! Unfortunately, it looks like his G license will have to wait a bit, as all the driver service centres are closed due to the drive test worker's strike. Oh well, a little more time for Mom not to have an anxiety attack about her first born being a driver!
We got Kyle this really cool toy made by Step 2 called the Push Buggy and he absolutely loves it. He just wants you of course to push him around forever. It has a seat belt to keep him contained, a nice long handle for Mommy or Daddy to push and the front hood opens so that he can store things in there. He can climb in and out of it but of course, wants to stand up on it. Not good! This kid has absolutely no fear of anything and I think is the cause of my added grey hairs.
He is doing so well with the walking and is trying it almost always. The crawling is still his optimal mode of transporation because he can get to where he needs to go so quickly. But, I'm sure that once the walking is totally mastered, he'll be picking that one the most and he will be running in no time.

His 1 yr checkup went well and the pedi said that he is growing at a huge rate still and has been since birth. He had his 2 needles, which didn't go over well but he settled down after the Dr. gave him a cookie from his signing dog cookie jar. He is 26lbs and 78cms, so, he is well in the top percentiles for pretty much everything. He babbles non-stop, has an attitude and says a few words, what's that, this, dada, num num. Oh, and he also knows your nose and will point to it when you ask "Where is mommy's nose?". So cute. He also had another tooth pop through this morning on the left side of his 2 big top teeth. The other one is almost through as well.

So, I think that is about it for now. Kids are back to school as of Tuesday and that will be another hard week for him because he has gotten so used to having them around. He loves his big brother and big sister so much and they love him too.

Well, I guess this is it for now. I have to post some pics of the b-day party and such as soon as I upload them to the camera, which will hopefully be this weekend!
